This is where poet Stevie Smith lived.
Location: 1 Avondale Road, Palmers Green
Description: Stevie Smith was born Florence Margaret Smith in 1903 in Hull, Yorkshire. She moved with her mother and sister to Palmer's Green, where they lived here with her aunt. Stevie spent the rest of her life with her aunt, and worked as a private secretary. She passed away in 1971.
One of her poems is a tribute to the house and its inhabitants; A House of Mercy.
