The comic book illustrator and inventive artist lived here
Location: Moy Lodge, 75 Moss Lane, Pinner, Harrow, HA5
Description: Comic book illustrator and inventive artist William Heath Robinson lived here from 1913 to 1918.
Born on the 31st May 1872, once established he signed himself 'W. Heath Robinson' - he was best known for drawings of eccentric machines and the saying 'Heath Robinson' has gone on to be entered in language as a description of any unnecessarily complex and implausible contraption.
Most of his cartoons have since been reprinted many times in multiple collections.
He died on the 13th September 1944 and his house in Moss Lane is commemorated by a blue plaque.
