Carry On star Kenneth Connor's much loved country home.
Location: The Squirrels, South Hill Avenue, Harrow, HA1 3NU
Description: This delightful country house in Harrow was owned by the much-loved comic actor Kenneth Connor, famous for his roles in loads of Carry On films.
It was built in 1928 and retains much period character. Kenneth Connor and his wife moved here in 1953 and both died forty years later here in 1993.
TV presenter Kay Burley, who lived down the road, bought the house in 1993.
The Dead Comics Society erected a plaque here in 2007, after Burley handed over boxes of Connor memorabilia she had found after moving in.
