The Pool Of London
Historically, a stretch of the Thames deep enough for shipping
Location: London Bridge to Tower Bridge, SE1 9DG
Description: Historically, the last stretch of the Thames deep enough to accommodate shipping, the 'Pool Of London' used to get so congested, you could cross the Thames by stepping from vessel to vessel. Now...it's a homage to the new and old - from a full size replica of the 'Golden Hinde' to the 'Tower of London' and shops and cafes a plenty.
