The Harp
CAMRA's pub of the year 2010/2011
Location: 47 Chandos Place, Covent Garden, WC2N 4HS
Description: This tiny pub near Covent Garden is a true British gem - small, friendly, independent free house which has become a haven for beer choice.
CAMRA awarded it pub of the year in 2010/2011 saying The most impressive aspect of The Harp is that it retains its appeal as a true local, even though its situated in the tourist heart of the capital, said Julian Hough, Camra's pubs director.
What makes a great pub is the ability for it to welcome both regulars and first-time customers alike, and this is something it does to perfection.
Until 1995 it was known as The Welsh Harp before becoming abbreviated.
