Description: Sir Roger Moore, who played James Bond in the 1980's, and The Saint in the 1970's, was born and raised in Stockwell, South London. He was born the only child to George Alfred Moore, a policeman, and Lillian Lily in womens hospital down the road.

He lived here until his family moved to nearby Alberrt Square in 1932 when Roger was 5 years old and after he had a terrible bout of pneumonia which almost killed him.
