40 million pound jewellery robbery took place here

Description: A 40 million pound raid on 'Graff Diamonds', the Mayfair jewellers, is thought to be the biggest ever gems heist in Britain (Aug 09).
A sales assistant was held hostage at gunpoint during an audacious robbery at a London jewellers.
The woman was grabbed by two smartly dressed men who walked into Graff Diamonds in New Bond Street, Mayfair on the 6th August.
After threatening staff with a handgun, the men grabbed gems and fled with the terrified woman, firing into the floor.
In May 2003 thieves stole gems worth 23m from the shop, which boasts that is sells 'the most fabulous jewels in the world'.
