Impressions of Balham
Four splendid bronze reliefs of familiar scenes.
Location: Balham Station Road, Balham
Description: Here, opposite the Balham Bus Station, sit four large bronze reliefs set onto the side of Balham Station entitled Impressions of Balham.
They sit with no information but were produced by sculptors Julia Barton and Christine Thomas for the local council in 1991.
They depict, in grisly morphic detail, family life, work, play, retail, entertainment and features details you may recognise from the local environs.
