Description: This yellow brick house wis where John Constable lived for 10 years from 1827 until his death.

On his arrival he wrote We are at length fixed in our comfortable little house in Well Walk... Our little drawing room commands a view unsurpassed in Europe.

DH Lawrence's lover Frieda left her husband here in WWI to live with Lawrence at 32 Well Walk.
