Description: Not only was this great hall, built at the northern end of the Palace and still stands today after celebrating nine hundred years of continuous use... but it was also built under the direction of William Rufus.

And... young William was son of 'William the Conqueror' no less. And it doesn't end here... Westminster Hall is the largest 'Norman Hall' in Europe.

As the resting in state location for Queen Elizabeth II Westminster Hall was shown live across the world for 6 days in September 2012.
