I was at this very 'Safeway' supermarket that some of the 2007 British action comedy film Hot Fuzz was filmed.

Written by Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright and starring Pegg and Nick Frost, the film was directed by Wright and produced by Nira Park.

Although filmed in Wells, Somerset, the supermarket in the film owned by devious Simon Skinner (Timothy Dalton), is actually in Hounslow - indeed, the suspiciously huge interior of the Somerfield supermarket is the actually the Safeway store on Staines Road in Hounslow, Middlesex.
