Tottenham Court Road Tube
Used in the film 'An American Werewolf In London'.
Location: Tottenham Court Road, W1D 1AN
Description: Used in the film 'An American Werewolf In London' - it was in this location that saw the most enduring scenes in John Landis's classic 80s horror comedy take place.
White tiled with a full moon, David Naughton's hairy beast scours the tunnels for a late-night bite.
Sadly the clip doesn't feature much of Sir Eduardo Luigi Paolozzi's stunning mosaic's (dating back to 1984) for the which station is famous for. They were removed as part of the stations Crossrail redevelopment in 2014, leading to a public outcry, and restoration of about 95% and reinstatement in February 2017.
