Description: The first meeting of the Blavatsky Lodge (The Blavatsky Lodge of the Theosophical Society) was organised in London, on May 19, 1887. In October that year, they moved all public and private meetings with Madame Blavatsky here and this became the meeting place every week for a decade.
Helena Petrovna Blavatsky lived here and authored a large part of her monumental work, The Secret Doctrine, here.
