Description: Camden Darling Amy Winehouse (14 September 1983 23 July 2011) was an English singer-songwriter blighted by drugs and relationship problems. She loved Camden and lived here until her untimely death aged just 27 in 2011.
In the aftermath it emerged that Amy had increasingly been suffering from ill health, brought about by years of drug and alcohol abuse. It was reported that she had been suffering from hallucinations, seizures, chronic insomnia and other related illnesses after she valiantly fought to regain control of her life and career. Amy also suffered insomnia and regularly complained of being unable to sleep.
As well as battling heroin and crack cocaine abuse, she was also diagnosed with emphysema in 2008 after collapsing at home.
