The Sun House

The Sun House

Maxwell Fry's first architectural house in London.

Location: 9 Frognal Way, Hampstead, NW3 6XE

Description: This, the Sun House, was architect Maxwell Fry's first London building, and an 'object lesson in facade composition', was one of the most important embodiments of the modern, international movement of the 1930s in Hampstead.

It is still a draw for architectural students, and is feted for its horizontally banded windows and white stucco finish.
