Description: Around the corner from its former tailors shop on Savile Row is the current retail store of Anderson & Sheppard Haberdashery. In 1927 they moved from number 13 Savile Row to Number 30 and then in 2005 moving on to Old Burlington Street.
The bespoke tailor opened on Savile Row in 1906 and whereas respected neighbour Scholte banned most show-business client, believing them to be undesirable, Anderson & Sheppard welcomed them. The likes of Marlene Dietrich, Fred Astaire (initially in 1923), Cole Porter, Charlie Chaplin, Douglas Fairbanks Sr, Gary Cooper, Nol Coward, and Ivor Novello among its customers.
King Charles III had a regular supply of double breasted suits from here for many years while Prince of Wales.
